Introduction to Tropical Bonsai

Excellent workshop start for the beginner and the curious - Introduction to Tropical Bonsai. This learnshop will give participants all the essentials to start a bonsai adventure! We will discuss bonsai history and horticulture and will focus on bonsai concepts, care and design. Tropical trees that can live indoors in the winter will be used. After the introductory principles, we will spend the majority of the class time creating a bonsai to take home and enjoy.

• Total Hours: 3 hours

• Price: $75.00 (Includes all supplies, use of tools and handouts.)

• Age: 14 & Up (Participants under 18 MUST be accompanied by one parent, legal guardian or authorized adult through the duration of the workshop. If the parent, legal guardian or authorized adult wishes to participate, they must also register for the workshop. • Take Home: One beautifully styled tropical bonsai tree in a ceramic bonsai container and resource handouts for follow up care and maintenance.

• Notes: Please wear comfortable gardening clothing. Bring bonsai tools if you have them and gloves if you desire.
