Nuno Felt Scarves
Nuno Felt Scarves July 29th - 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Price: $69
Workshop Instructor: Vallorie Henderson

Participants will learn the Japanese process of felting pre-dyed Merino wool roving through pre-dyed silk crepe fabric. This is a wet felting process that utilizes warm water to expand the fibers, hand agitation to begin the fulling process of forcing the wool to attach and felt to the silk anchor fabric, ending with a cold water bath to shrink the fibers and lock them in place. Instruction also includes basic design principles and manipulation of fibers to achieve the desired design as well as basic finishing techniques.
