Creating Atmosphere in Watercolor Landscapes - Begins July 22nd from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM - Price: $460

In this workshop students will learn how to add a variety of atmospheres to city, land and seascape scenes painted in watercolor. The workshop will focus on developing an artistic vision, simplifying and expanding the elements of a scene, and learning what artistic tools to use to create mood including color choices, values and edges. Experienced Beginners to Advanced student levels welcome. Experienced Beginners should have some experience using watercolor with a basic understanding of how it works.

Participants must provide their own supplies or request to purchase supplies on site for use at the workshop. Click here for the supply list. If supplies are requested, there is a $40 fee for paper, paint and use of equipment during the workshop.This is a 4 day workshop.

• Location: Berea City Hall (Basement Conference Room) - 212 Chestnut Street

• Date/Time: July 22nd, 23rd, 24th AND 25th from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• Break: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM (1.5 hours)

• Total Hours: 24 hours

• Price: $460.00 (Includes handouts and reference materials only.) (See Notes below - Participants must provide their own supplies or purchase them on site – $40.)

• Age: 18 & Up

• Difficulty: Intermediate (Suitable for experienced beginner through advanced. Some basic experience painting in watercolor and general knowledge of how watercolor works is required.)

• Class Size: 15 Max

• Take Home: Three to four completed watercolor paintings, along with handouts and reference materials.

• Notes: This is a 4 day workshop. Participants must provide their own supplies or purchase them on site with cash or credit card for a fee of $40. Click here for the supply list. Participants should wear clothes they don’t mind getting paint on or bring an apron. Some basic experience painting in watercolor and general knowledge of how watercolor works is required.

• NOTE TO EDUCATORS: Educators attending this session will receive access to on-line cross-curricular resources, suggested classroom activities based on skills and concepts covered in session, and a certificate of participation for Professional Learning documentation.
