This introductory class will teach you everything you need to know to get started painting with watercolors. The class will cover tools and materials, painting techniques and how to use a limited palette of paints to confidently mix any color you might need.

• Take Home: Six 5” x 7” sheets of watercolor paper with experiments and color studies, color mixing chart and samples of watercolor paints.

Learn to draw and paint seasonal, botanical words and alphabets using bits and pieces of plants. Each student will design and create their own word or phrase. You’ll see twigs and wildflowers in a whole new way!

• Notes: Basic drawing and watercolor supplies and paper provided, but please feel free to bring pencils, pens or paints if you have favorites. If you have any plants or twigs you would like to incorporate into your design, bring them.

Drawing Botanicals - July 17th from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Price: $46

In this introductory class, Laura Poulette will share with students the methods she has developed to draw botanical specimens. Using freshly collected native plants we will explore how to draw plant studies.
